Alberta Colmer

Alberta D. Colmer, 82, of East Moline, died Nov. 6, 2012, at her home. Services are 10 a.m. Tuesday at Wildwood Baptist Church, East Moline. Burial is at Rock Island National Cemetery, Arsenal Island. Visitation is 4-7 p.m. Monday at Schroder Mortuary, Silvis. Memorials may be made to the church or Genesis Hospice. She was born April 14, 1930, in Thornfield, Mo., to Houston and Etta Belle Osborn Robison. She married Joe Colmer Aug. 11, 1954, in Mt. Home, Ark. She was a member of Wildwood Baptist Church and she was very active at the Moline YMCA. Survivors include her husband Joe; children, Sheri (Steve) Williams, Patti (Glenn) Dawkins and Bruce (Cindy) Colmer; 10 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and sisters, Bonnie Farris and Rose Kipping. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Sue Robison; granddaughter, Amanda Colmer; five sisters; one brother; and her twin brother at birth
