Amos D. Clevenger, 82, of Milan passed away July 31, 2019 at his home.
Visitation will be 3-5pm Saturday at Schroder Mortuary in Colona. Memorials may be made to the family.
Amos was born November 2, 1936 in Webster County, Missouri the son of Lewis E. and Mattie N. Young Clevenger. He served in the National Guard. Amos married Nancy Simmons January 4, 1958 in Galesburg. She passed away June 22, 2001. He later married Marjorie L. Case Karnes October 10, 2001 in Edgar Springs, MO. She passed away August 16, 2013. Amos retired as a minister from Church of God after 60 years. He was also a nursing home minister and built and repaired guitars and instruments at A-Heart Instruments. He enjoyed gardening and loved his family dearly.
Survivors include his children Ronald (JoAnn) Clevenger, Tami (Tom) Anderson, Kevin (Kathy) Clevenger, Thomas (Chris) Clevenger, and Scotti Clevenger; 16 grandchildren; 24 great grandchildren; sister Bernice Morrison and a good friend Irma.
Amos was preceded in death by his parents, both wives, 1 grandson, and 5 siblings.
