Ann M. DeCapp, 96, of East Moline, died Friday, April 1, 2011, at Illini Restorative Care, Silvis.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Colona. Visitation will be 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday at Schroder Mortuary, Colona. A rosary will be recited at 4 p.m. Burial will be at St. Mary's Cemetery, East Moline. Memorials may be made to St. Patrick's Catholic Church or St. Jude's Charities.
She was born Feb. 26, 1915, in a farmhouse in the Geneseo/Atkinson area to Evo and Augusta VanNorway DeBlieck. She married Albert J. DeCapp on Sept. 11, 1934, at St. Malachy's Catholic Church, Geneseo. He died Jan. 12, 1995.
Ann was a specialist at being a mother to her children and a good wife to her husband.
She was a member of St. Martha's Altar and Rosary Society, an avid bowler and crossword puzzle worker. At one time, she had worked at Buddy L Toy Factory, Moline.
Survivors (and spouses) include her children, Betty Plumb, Port Byron, Doris Seams, Houston, Texas, Janet (Ron) Lampe, Geneseo, Pat (Morry) Popelier, East Moline, and Larry (Patty) DeCapp, East Peoria, Ill.; brother, Roy DeBlieck, Alexis; 17 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband; a son-in-law, Chet Plumb; four brothers and three sisters.
