Arturo Raya

Arturo Raya, 72, of Altoona, IA passed away February 18, 2021 at his home.

Visitation will be 12-3pm Sunday at Schroder Mortuary in Silvis. Burial will be in Peurta Del Monte Cementerio in Puerta Del Monte, Guanajuato, Mexico.

Arturo was born November 22, 1948 in Puerta Del Monte, Guanajuato, Mexico the son of Daniel Raya Rosas and Guadalupe Medina Sisneros. He married Enedina Arreguin Gutierrez February 8, 1975 in Cupareo, Salvatierra, Guanajuato, Mexico. She passed away November 24, 2018. Arturo retired from John Deere after 33 years and enjoyed spending time with his family and grandchildren, traveling to Mexico, farming, and cooking.

Survivors include his children Brenda Raya, Anselmo Raya, Arturo Raya, Yolanda Parra, Guadalupe Tafolla, Daniel Raya, and Roberto Raya; grandchildren Alexis Poehls, Vanessa Poehls, Estevan Ruiz, Yesenia Ruiz, Armando Ruiz, Mia Raya, AJ Raya, Noah Raya, Liliana Raya, Christian Raya, Samuel Tigges, Naomi Raya, Arielle Raya, Rosalie Raya, Alessia Tafolla, and Richelle Parra.

Arturo was preceded in death by his parents and his wife.
