Barbara Rangel

Barbara J. Rangel, 72, Silvis passed away, December 9, 2013 at Genesis Health Care, Silvis. Services for Barbara will be 10A.M. Friday, December 13, 2013 at Schroder Mortuary, Silvis. Visitation will be from 4pm to 8pm on Thursday, December 12, 2013 at Schroder Mortuary, Silvis. Burial will be at St. Mary's Cemetery, East Moline. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the family. Barbara was born August 29, 1941, in Rock Island, the daughter of James and Lucy Segura Simmons. She was a prep cook at Bishops, Taco Bell, and Hungry Hobo. She was a nurse's aide for Homebound Health Care. Barbara loved crocheting, going to the casino to gamble, traveling, cooking and word finds. Survivors include her daughters, Lisa Stout, Planterville, MS, Deneen (Dan) Hobart, Rock Island, Becky Rangel, Silvis; Sisters, Rosemarie (George) Harl, Roselie Hayes, Jackie Charter; Brother, Kenneth Simmons, several nieces, nephews, and cousins, and her special grand pet Sandi. She was preceded in death by her son, Tommy Rangel, Ex-Husband, David Rangel, Sister, Shirley, Parents and a son-in-law Lynn Stout.
