Bernard Johnson

Bernard, J. Johnson, 94, of Colona and veteran of WWII, Korean Conflict, and Vietnam Era passed away October 14, 2021 at River Crossing of Moline.

Graveside services will be 11am Wednesday at Rock Island National Cemetery. Anyone wishing to attend should meet at Schroder Mortuary, Silvis by 10:30am. Memorials may be made to Honor Flight of the Quad Cities. There will be a luncheon and celebration of life at Brian’s home following the graveside service.

Bernard was born March 1, 1927 in Buffalo, New York. He married Helen Frerichs. She passed away November 28, 2000. Bernard retired form John Deere and enjoyed coin and stamp collecting.

Survivors include his grandchildren Brian (Lisa) Ruhl and Angel (Chris) Ruhl Gaul.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife and her children Nancy and Robert.
