Buda Arlene Bristol Burgert Larson, 89, of Moline, passed away Sunday, Feb. 15, 2015, at Genesis Medical Center, Silvis. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Saturday at Christ United Methodist Church, East Moline. Visitation will be 4 to 7 p.m. Friday at Schroder Mortuary, Silvis. Burial will be at Greenview Memorial Gardens, East Moline. Memorials may be made to Christ United Methodist Church. Buda was born Oct. 28, 1925, in Lake Crystal, Minn., the daughter of Harry and Claire Weldy Bristol. She married Hilton D. Burgert on Aug. 11, 1942, in Kahoka, Mo. He passed away Oct. 13, 1983. She later married John Bertil Larson on March 25, 1989, in East Moline. He passed away June 20, 1995. Buda was a self-employed beautician for more than 30 years, retiring in 1990. She was a member of Christ United Methodist Church, East Moline, where she was active in United Methodist Women and Grace Circle. She was also a member of the Viking Club and Clara Lodge No. 118 I.O.V. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, gardening, flowers, crafts, doll making and traveling. Survivors include her children, Linda (Larry) Pool, Woodland Park, Colo., and Michael Burgert, Solon, Iowa; grandchildren, Angie (Mike) Neylon, Geneva, Ill., Jeffrey (Stacey) Burgert, Orion, Amy (Scott) Stewart, Parker, Colo., Kara (Brent) Hendrick, Divide, Colo., Erica Brooks, Fort Collins, Colo., Brianna Burgert, Solon, and Alyssa Burgert, Solon; great-grandchildren, Eric and Jennifer Neylon, both of Geneva, Luke and Adam Burgert, both of Orion, Emily, Ashley, Aaron, Avery and Brady Stewart, all of Parker, Kailin, Jakob and Liam Hedrick, all of Divide; brother, Jim (Kathy) Cramblett, Silvis; sisters, Carolee (Larry) Dunton, Springfield, Ohio, and Sue (John) Dingus, Fairfax, Va.; and many nieces and nephews. Buda was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Hilton; husband, John; son, Bob; sister, Ayliffe Colbert; brothers Bill and Darrell Bristol and supported friend, Robert Pauwels.
