Carla Stover

Carla Sue Stover, 53, of Colona passed away June 12, 2016 at Unity Point Hospital in Rock Island. Visitation will be 4-7pm Tuesday at Schroder Mortuary in Colona. Cremation rites will follow. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to St. Jude's.

Carla was born April 28, 1963 in Wynne, AR the daughter of Jack and Ella May Ackley. She married James Stover June 3, 1995 in Colona. Carla worked as a CNA for several years. She also worked at Barjan. She was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles Auxiliary and the Colona American Legion Auxiliary. Carla was highly respected and loved by many. She spent much of her time organizing benefits for others in their time of need. She is deeply loved by her family and friends and will be greatly missed.

Survivors include her husband James; children Jeanette (Brent Wallace) Johnson, Deanae Hock, Ashley Stover and Amber Stover; grandchildren Hailey, Mason and Keegan; sisters Jackie and Melody and Carla's best friend Molly Moon.

Carla was preceded in death by her parents and a sister Becky Ortega.
