Carol Cashion

Carol C. Cashion, 86, of Silvis passed away Tuesday, September 3, 2024 at The Fountains Senior Living in Bettendorf. 

A funeral mass will be 11:00am Saturday at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Silvis. Visitation will be 4-7pm Friday at Schroder Mortuary in Silvis. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery in East Moline. Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association. 

Carol was born November 20, 1937 in Moline, IL the daughter of William and Lucille Cotter. She married Richard Cashion March 7, 1956 in San Diego, CA. He passed away March 10, 2000. Carol was a homemaker and loved taking care of her family. She enjoyed reading, gardening, and sewing. 

Survivors include her children David (Esther) Cashion, Chris (Paul) Papke, and Dan Cashion; step grandchildren Abby Papke and Zach Papke; sister Joan Bledsoe and her beloved dog Nick. 

Carol was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and a sister Darlene VanDeWalle.
