Carolyn Mockmore

Carylon Mockmore, 79, of Moline went to be with GOD on January 5, 2019 at New Perspectives in Silvis.

A Private burial will be at Rock Island National Cemetery and a celebration of life will be on Saturday January 12th from 1:00pm to 4:00pm at the VFW in Moline, 1721 7th Street, Moline.  All who knew Carylon are welcome to the celebration.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, Alzheimer’s Association, or QC Paws.

Carylon was born July 9, 1939 in Unionville, MO the daughter of Robert and Marceline Shaver Davis. She married William Mockmore July 20, 1962 in Rock Island. She worked as a bookkeeper for Friendship Manor and enjoyed reading, cooking, sewing and spending time with her family.

Survivors include her husband William, children Greg (Lore) Shelton of Moline, Melody (Bill) Dunkin of Bluegrass, IA, Jeff Mockmore of South Moline Township, Kelly Bennett of Rock Island and Holly Arnold of Rock Island; 6 grandchildren; 1 great granddaughter and another great granddaughter due in April; sister Shirley Phillips of Rock Island.

Carylon was preceded in death by her parents.
