Charles Perry

Charles Roy Perry, 79, of Silvis passed away Friday, November 9, 2018 at Illini Restorative Care, Silvis.

Funeral services will be 10am Monday at Schroder Mortuary in Silvis. Visitation will be 1-4pm Sunday at the mortuary. Burial will be in Greenview Memorial Gardens in East Moline. A memorial fund will be established.

Roy was born September 22, 1939 in Moline the son of Charles E. and Edna E. Allee Perry. He married Carolyn L. Miller, February 6, 1960 in Silvis. Carolyn died February 1, 2017.

Roy worked for the East Moline Post Office as a mail carrier. He later worked at the Rock Island County Court House as a bailiff. He was an avid Chicago Cubs fan, enjoyed playing bingo and shuffleboard, and was a member of Jamaica Bay Worship Center. Roy especially loved spending time with his grandchildren and was very proud of them.

Survivors include his children Lynn (Jim) Grafton of Silvis, Dean (Molly) Perry of Buffalo, MN, and Dwight (Lisa) Perry of Camanche, IA; sister Ruth Christensen of East Moline; grandchildren Lindy (Michael) Slyter, Lacey (Chris) Ellis, David (Stephanie) Grafton, Danny (Cassie) Grafton, Ben Perry, Ellie Perry, Charlie Perry, Lukas Dewitt, and Zachary Gainer; 7 great grandchildren

Roy was preceded by his wife, parents and a sister Helen Arlywene Perry.
