Christopher W. Barrett, 21, of Colona, died Friday, Oct. 7, 2011, at Trinity Rock Island.
Funeral services are 1 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 13, at Schroder Mortuary, Colona. Burial will be in Dayton Corners Cemetery. Visitation is Wednesday, Oct. 12, from 5 to 8 p.m. at Schroder Mortuary, Colona. A memorial fund is being established for the education fund for his daughter, Lili.
Christopher was born Feb. 15, 1990, in Silvis to Debra L. Clevenger.
He was a 2008 graduate of United Township High School. During the years, he had worked at the Isle of Capri, Check into Cash and currently for Big River Resources. As a boy, he loved to fish. He was a sword collector. The love of his life was his daughter, Lili.
Those left to cherish his memory are his daughter, Lili Barrett, at home; mother and stepfather, Debra and Ward Fuller, Colona, father and stepmother, Billy and Rita Barrett, Houston, Texas; two sisters, Tiffani and Sarah Barrett, Colona; brother, Jesse Barrett, Colona; two stepbrothers, Glenny and Avery; grandparents, Ron and Marje Clevenger, Silvis, Carolyn Henry, Houston, and Billy Barrett, Sr., Texas and great-grandmother, Grace DeMeyer, East Moline. He was preceded in death by his great-grandfather, Jim DeMeyer.
