Clay Franks

Clay E. Franks, 83, of Silvis went home to be with the Lord May 26, 2018.

Funeral services will be 1pm Friday at Homewood Evangelical Free Church in Moline. Visitation will be 4-7pm Thursday at the church. Burial will be in Greenview Memorial Gardens in East Moline. Memorials may be made to the family. Schroder Mortuary in Silvis is assisting the family with arrangements.

Clay was born March 30, 1935 in Guin, AL. the son of John and Callie Roberts Franks. He married Anita L. Rohs July 14, 1962. She passed away Jan. 26, 2007. Clay worked for John Deere Harvester retiring after 30 years. He loved spending time with his family, going to church and tinkering around outside.

Survivors include his daughter Tara and siblings Roland (Bertha) Franks of Maryville, TN, Willadean Palmer of Guin, AL, Maylene (Kenneth) Harlan of Winfield, AL and Floyd (Beverly) Franks of Moline and several nieces and nephews.

Clay was preceded in death by his parents, wife Anita, son Steven and brothers Clifton and Lee.
