Cleodis "Cle" Evans, 53, of Moline, died Wednesday, Oct. 22, 2014. Services are 11 a.m. Monday at Schroder Mortuary, Silvis. Visitation is 2-5 p.m. Sunday at the mortuary. Burial is at Greenview Memorial Gardens. East Moline. Memorials may be made to The Memory People. He was born Aug. 1, 1961, in St. Louis, Mo., son of Walter and Leola Moore Evans. He married Debra Bergstrand Oct. 15, 1994, in Rock Island. He worked at Rita's Chop Suey in St. Louis and United Vending. He most recently worked at Hostess Wonder for several years until his illness, at which time his loyal nephew Lacey Brown became Cle's caretaker. Cle enjoyed music, dancing and loved spending time with family and friends. Survivors include his wife, Debra Evans; daughter, Shani (Charles) Shepard, Moline; son, Cleodis Evans Jr., Moline; grandchildren, Taylisha Shepard and Zaiden Alexander; sisters, Curvy Towns, Flora Brown and Barbara Carmack; brothers, John Wash, Walter (Doris) Evans; and numerous extended family. He was preceded in death by his parents.
