Collette Schnoor

Collette Schnoor, 83, of St. Peters, Minn., died Thursday, May 2, 2013, at her daughter's home in St. Peters. Services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at Schroder Mortuary in Silvis, with visitation two hours prior to service time. Burial will be at Western Cemetery in Orion. She was born Oct. 7, 1929, in Moline, to Harry and Iva DeSpain Mallas. She married Herbert L. Schnoor Sr. Jan. 17, 1948, in Rock Island. He passed away in 1976. Collette worked as an in-home care giver and also at Comfort Harbor Nursing Home in Milan. She enjoyed working on word searches, watching science fiction and shopping at thrift stores. Survivors include her daughter, Sandra (John) Turner, St. Peters; grandchildren, Daniel (Nikki) Muhleman, Bloomington, Ill., Charis Turner, Monroe, Wis.; great-grandchildren, James and Lacey Muhleman, Bloomington, Kyli, Kade and Jaxon, Monroe; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; children, Cynthia Ann and Herbert Jr.; grandson, Phillip Muhleman; sisters, Katherine Brusso, Helen Zeroth and Ruth Berthoud Stiener.
