Dallyn Horton

February 2, 1962 — March 3, 2015

Dallyn "Dee" K. Horton, 53, passed away peacefully at her home on Tuesday, March 3, 2015, surrounded by her husband and her beloved daughters, Amanda and Katy. A memorial service will be 4 p.m. Saturday at Sycamore Baptist Church, 5323 180th St. North, East Moline. Dee was born in 1962 in Davenport to Judith Brown and Dale Horton. She grew up in Bettendorf and as an adult, lived in California and Arkansas. Dee always called Iowa her home. She worked as a waitress for most of her life and loved being around people. She was a proud supporter of the VFW and American Legion. She loved to garden, was a great cook, and she enjoyed watching the birds and animals around her home. But most of all, she loved the springtime when her irises would bloom. She was a very dedicated mother who loved her children and grandchildren very much. She always made her home open to her friends and family. Dee is survived by her mother, Judith Brown; her husband, Steve; her daughter, Amanda Hans, and her two children, Allanna and Jorden; her son, Gary Ronzheimer, his wife, Erin, and their three children, Allyson, Samuel and Joseph; her daughter, Katy Olson, and her son, Stephen; her brother, Daniel Brown; her sister, Candace Horton; and her adopted father, Clyde Brown. She was preceded in death by her son, David; her father, Dale Horton; her sister, Dana; and her grandmother, Iva Withrow.
