David Partlow

August 17, 1931 — July 3, 2015

Dave Partlow, 83, of East Moline passed away July 3rd 2015 at his home and is now reunited with his wife and so many others he had been missing for a very long time. Funeral services will be 11am Wednesday at Schroder Mortuary in Silvis with visitation 1 hour prior to service time. Burial will be at Rock Island National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Moline Animal Aid. Dave was born in Moline August 17th 1931 to Howard Partlow and Hattie Timm. He married his first love Donna Faye Engelhardt January 14th 1950 at Our Savior Lutheran church in Bettendorf Iowa. They had been married 55 years when she passed away August 8th 2005. He served in the Army during the Korean Conflict. Dave worked at John Deere Plow Planter Works for 32 years retiring in 1987. He enjoyed taking care of all the wildlife at his house and loved his dog Sarah Faye. Dave could often be found with a cold beer in his hand at his homemade basement Bar (Dave's BB Club). He liked watching NASCAR and Judge shows on television. In his lifetime had 29 dogs and cats, all strays he adopted from various animal shelters. The last several years were difficult but his wish was to pass at his own home which he was able to do with the help and care from family. Surviving are his children (and spouses) Cynthia Lawrence-Foster, East Moline, IL., Kathy Hernandez (Tim) of Hampton, IL., David (Julie) Partlow, East Moline, IL. 11 Grandchildren, Angie, Tony, Allison, Sarena, Kristy, Ricky, Wendy, Kimberly, Vanessa, Kara, and Misty. 21 Great Grandchildren and 3 Great-Great Granchildren. Dave was preceded in death by his parents; his wife Donna, and Daughter Susan.
