David "Craig" Petrovich, 52, of Alpha, passed away Tuesday, Nov. 9, 2010, after a brief illness, at his home surrounded by his family and friends.
A memorial and burial will follow cremation rites at a later date. The family kindly requests any donations be mailed in care of Joella Holdsworth P.O. Box 253 Alpha, IL 61413.
Craig was born Feb. 9, 1958, in Moline, the son and third child of the late Sam and Betty Evrard Petrovich. He grew up in Alpha and graduated from AlWood High School in 1976.
He moved to Arizona in 1979, where he started his own electrical business, D.C. Petrovich Electric, in Pinetop, Ariz. He relocated with his business back to Alpha in 2007.
Craig was a lifelong lover of the outdoors, enjoying his favorite pastimes of camping, hunting and fishing with his family.
Survivors include his two wonderful children, Weston, Tuscon, Ariz., and Tavia, Chandler, Ariz.; brother and sister-in-law, Mike (Jane) Petrovich, Alpha; sister and brother-in-law, Cindy (Bob) Fowler, Dunwoody, Ga.; and a brother, Aaron Petrovich, Denver, Colo.; his fiancee, Joella Holdsworth, Alpha; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins; and his inseparable canine companion, Copper.
