Deborah "Debbie" Thompson, 60, of Rock Island, passed away Saturday, July 14, 2012, at her son's home in Des Moines, Iowa.
A celebration of her life will be noon Monday at Olivet Baptist Church in Rock Island. Visitation will be one hour prior to service time. Burial will be at Chippiannock Cemetery in Rock Island. Memorials may be made to the family.
Debbie was born Feb. 3, 1952, in Des Moines, the daughter of John A. and Lena Mae Hutchinson Hall. She married JB Thompson on July 29, 1969, in Des Moines. He passed away July 25, 2007.
Debbie worked as direct care staff for the Independent Advocacy Group in Moline.
Survivors include her sons, Jay B III and Johnny C., both of Des Moines, and Tyson, Rock Island; 17 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; a brother, Charles Hall, and sisters, Peggy, Belinda, Carmen, all of Des Moines, and Diantha Hall, California.
Debbie was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and a daughter, Ralena.
