Delbert A. Crosser, 76, of Moline passed away Tue. Dec. 30, 2014 after a courageous battle with cancer, at Rosewood Care Center in East Moline. Per his wishes Delbert will be cremated and a memorial service will be 11am January 10, 2014 at Metropolitan Community Church 2930 West Locust, Davenport, with a memorial luncheon to follow. Inurnment will be at Greenview Memorial Gardens, East Moline. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the general fund or feed the hungry at the church. Schroder Mortuary in Silvis is assisting the family with arrangements. Delbert was born April 11, 1938 in Bardolph, IL the son of John and Melissa Scudder Crosser. He retired from John Deere Harvester as an inspector. He served 20 years on the Board of Directors at DHCU and was a member of the US Coast Guard Auxiliary in Rock Island for 20 years. He volunteered at the visitor's desk at the Quad City Airport and served at the church for feed the hungry. He enjoyed baking cookies, photography, loved new technology, and was a member of the East Moline Masons and the Scottish Rites in Moline. Delbert was preceded in death by his parents, sister Leota Crosser, brother and sister in law Edward (Joyce) Crosser and sister and brother in law Margaret (James) Long. Del's family would like to thank the nurses and staff at Fort Armstrong, Hope Creek, and Rosewood for their care and support during his illness.
