Denise E. Cowdery, 54, of Milan, died Monday, Jan. 23, 2012, at Trinity Rock Island, due to an illness she battled long and courageously.
Memorial services will be 10 a.m. Friday at Schroder Mortuary, Silvis. Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Wednesday at the mortuary.
She was born March 5, 1957, in Moline, to Gene and Norma Mellinger Cowdery.
She worked at X Pac in Milan. She was a loving grandmother who loved taking care of her grandchildren and also enjoyed reading.
Survivors include her mother, Norma Cowdery, Moline; daughter, Calie (Jeff) Keefe, Davenport; grandchildren, Danika Jo and David Gregory; siblings, Diane Beauchamp, Moline, Beth (Brian) Stokes, Coal Valley, Douglas (Lenore) Cowdery, Hampton; many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father; and a brother-in-law, Craig.
