Desirea Kick

Desirea Ann Kick "Wold," 21, of Carbon Cliff, passed away Dec. 24, 2011, at Trinity Rock Island, after battling a long illness of leukemia.

Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. Friday at St. John's Lutheran Church, East Moline. Any donations will be used to help with funeral costs.

Desirea was born July 20, 1990, in Moline. She graduated from United Township High School in 2009. Her hobbies and enjoyments were watching TV, listening to music, spending time with her boys and making items with her hands.

Desirea had two sons, Allen Jr., 1 year and 7 months, and Wyatt, 9 months. She loved and cherished them more than life itself. Also surviving are her uncle and aunt, Michael and Frances Wold, who she called Dad and Mom; her great-grandfather, Henry Wood; all her friends; and her two cats, Princess and Baby. If anyone was left out, please forgive us.

She was preceded in death by her younger brother, Kelly Jr.; great-grandmother, Nancy Wood; and great-grandparents, John and Fannie Timberlake.

Thank you to Pastor Umbarger, for all he did, and Karen Burdette for being her friend when she needed one the most, and always being there for her. You were like a grandmother to her.
