Dolores Ashenhurst

Dolores Mae Ashenhurst, 82, of Port Byron, passed away Thursday, Feb. 9, 2012, at her home.Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at Greenview Memorial Gardens Chapel, East Moline. Visitation will be 12:30 p.m. Tuesday at Schroder Mortuary, Silvis. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Heart Association or the Moline Animal Shelter. Dolores was born Dec. 2, 1929, in Moline, the daughter of Harry and Violet Spears Fogle. She married Charles Francis and later married Roy F. Ashenhurst May 19, 1961, in Denver, Colo.She enjoyed arranging flowers, traveling, camping, scrapbooking, photography crafts, spending time with her family, listening to music, dancing and was a member of First Presbyterian Church in East Moline. Survivors include her husband, Roy; daughters, Yvonne Jones, Coal Valley, Sheila (Niles) Reamer, Kewanee, Charlene (Mike) Hanna, LeClaire, Faith (Jerry) Hickman, Davenport, Stephany Ashenhurst, East Moline; sons, Paul (Judy) Ashenhurst, Port Byron, and Wayne (Kathy) Ashenhurst, Milan; 18 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; and her special companion, her cat, Tiger Lee.Dolores was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Hope Ashenhurst; and a brother, William Fogle.Dolores' family would like to thank Trinity Hospice, Dr. Wenck, Dr. Deutmeyer and the ICU nursing staff at Trinity Bettendorf.
