Services will be 11 a.m. Friday, May 31, at Salem Lutheran Church, Moline, with visitation one hour prior to service time. Burial will be at Moline Memorial Park Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Salem Lutheran Church. She was born May 12, 1919, in Moline, to Edwin and Dorothy Weitz Dennhardt. She graduated from United Township High School in 1935. She married Kenneth Witherspoon on Aug. 29, 1941. He passed away Aug. 29, 2004. She was secretary at Faith Lutheran Church for 30 years, retiring in 1986. She was also a member of the Naomi Circle. She was a member of King's Daughters and Pepper Steppers Square Dance Club. She loved playing cards, bridge, golf, cooking, camping, crocheting and reading. She also enjoyed snow birding in Mission, Texas. Survivors include her sons, Mark (Marylou) Witherspoon, Moline, Kent (Debbie) Witherspoon, Davenport; grandchildren, John (Sue), David, Laura, Katie; great-grandchildren, Carson and Kylie.
