Donald Wold

Donald Roy 'Wodon' Wold, 71, of Silvis, passed away on June 19, 2013, after a short illness at St. Alexius Hospital in Hoffman Estates. Graveside services will be at 2:30 p.m. on Friday at Greenview Memorial Gardens, East Moline. Memorials may be made to The Apostolic Sanctuary. Don was born on Aug. 11, 1941, the son of Donald and Virginia Canterbury Wold. He served in the U.S. Navy and later in life retired from John Deere Harvester as a proud member of UAW Local 865. Don married Ruth Ann Porter on June 30, 1962, and shared many years until her passing on April 6, 2004. Don enjoyed spending his time with friends and family, fishing and playing bingo. He will be remembered for his generosity and tender heart. Don leaves behind his family who loves him, including daughter Tracy (Brad) Craig and children Erik, Joannah and Kelsea; son, Troy (Brandy) Wold, and children Andrea, Brandon, Josephine, Kaden, Mason and Trey; and a great-granddaughter, Jada Ann. Don also leaves his widow, Susan Wold, whom he wed on Aug. 7, 2006.
