Donna Fae Kellums, 87, of Colona, died Monday, Sept. 8, 2014, at her home. Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 13, at Colona United Methodist Church, where she has been a member since 1931. Visitation will be one hour before the funeral services. Burial will be at Dayton Corners Cemetery, Colona. Memorials may be made to the church. She was born Jan. 18, 1927, in Colona, to George and Florence Sullivan Kellums. Donna retired from John Deere in 1982, after 38 years of service. Donna enjoyed quilting and was a member of the Colona United Methodist Quilters. She completed 35 quilts since her retirement. She also enjoyed traveling and visited six continents. Survivors include her sister, Gretchen Matthews, East Moline; nephew, Glenn Matthews and niece, Linda Matthews-Taylor, both of St. Cloud, Fla.; great-niece, Kelly (Mike) LaCoe, Kissimmee, Fla.; great-nephew, Cale (Jade) Matthews, Oviedo, Fla.; great-great-nephew, Brody LaCoe, and one on the way. She was preceded in death by her parents; and her sister, Lois Kellums.
