Donna Faye Martin

Donna Faye Martin, 79, of Farmington, passed away at 5:09 AM on Wednesday, April 16, 2025 at her residence. She was born on February 23, 1946 in Beaumont, Kentucky, a daughter of Ernest and Nina (Garmon) Carter. She married the love her life, and best friend John Martin on September 14, 1963 in Green Rock, Illinois. He survives.

Also surviving are her loving children, Lesa (Jasen) Fuller of Farmington, John (Erin M.D.) Martin PhD. Of Trivoli; nine grandchildren, Kayla (Brandon), Dominik, Jay (Bella), Deven, Logan, John Curtis, Ethan, Addison, and Brynnley; seven great-grandchildren, Scarlett, Avah, Tavian, Sonoma, Severiana, Siyenah, and Zeake; two sisters, Nena Swanson, and Connie Ellard, both Colona, Illinois.

Preceding Donna in death were her parents; son, John Ernest Martin, and brother, Ron Carter.

Donna enjoyed reading, planting flowers, and rebuilding cars and tinkering in the garage with her husband, but most of all was the love she had for her family, as she was a wonderful caretaker of her husband and housewife, since retiring from bookkeeping.

A memorial visitation will be held on Saturday, April 26, 2025 from 11:00 AM until 2:00 PM at Schroder Mortuary, 213 1st Avenue, Colona, Illinois 61241. Cremation rites and local arrangements entrusted through Sedgwick Funeral Homes & Crematory in Canton. Memorials can be made to Donna's family or to the American Cancer Society.
