Dwight A. Perry

Dwight A. Perry, 56, of Camanche, IA passed away Wednesday, November 13, 2024 at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City. 

Per his wishes, there will be no services and cremation rites will be accorded. Memorials may be made to the family and sent to Schroder Mortuary. 

Dwight was born January 10, 1968 in Silvis, IL the son of Charles “Roy” and Carolyn (Miller) Perry. He married the love of his life, Lisa, in September of 2007 in Maquoketa, IA. Dwight graduated from Western Illinois University with a bachelor’s degree in psychology. He worked at Adel Wholesalers in Bettendorf for several years. He was a kindhearted soul who enjoyed woodworking, music, football, his pets, and traveling, especially to Jamaica. Dwight was also an avid Bears and Cubs fan. 

Survivors include his wife Lisa; children Zachary Gainer and Lukas DeWitt; sister Lynn (Jim) Grafton; brother Dean (Molly) Perry; aunt Nancy Miller; nieces and nephews Lindy (Mike) Slyter, Lacey Ellis, David (Stephanie) Grafton, Danny (Cassie) Grafton, Ben (Mariah) Perry, Ellie Perry, and Charlie Perry; several great nieces and nephews and his beloved maine coon cat Maxwell. 

Dwight was preceded in death by his parents. 

The family would like to thank Dr. Christopher Strouse and his team, Kathleen Keys at CVM, and the staff at University of Iowa CVICU for the care given to Dwight.
