Earnestine Snell, 84, of Colona, passed away on Wednesday, Sept. 26, 2012, at her home surrounded by her loving family.
Services will be noon Saturday at Schroder Mortuary in Colona. Visitation will be one hour prior to service time. Burial will be at Greenview Memorial Gardens in East Moline. Memorials may be made to the family.
Earnestine was born on July 12, 1928, in Grubbs, Ark., the daughter of Clarence and Mae Sullins. She married Richard H. Snell on Jan. 18, 1947, in DeSoto County, Miss. He passed away on Oct. 22, 1993.
Earnestine was a loving mother and homemaker with a keen interest in her children and grandchildren's activities. She never forgot a birthday or anniversary and always was quick to help others. She also loved to cook. Earnestine was a member of Green River Methodist Church.
Survivors include, her children, Richard A. (Janis) Snell, Roy (Linda) Snell and Robert (Carla) Snell; grandchildren, Richard A. (Pam) Snell Jr., Julie (Jay) Lessin, Marcy (Bill) Trimble, Jamie (Scott) Krug, Robby Snell, Ryan Snell and Brandon Snell; great-grandchildren, Richard A. III, Emma, Justin, Shannon, Cara, Hailey, Kaylie and McKenzie; brother, Clifton (Rudi) Sullins; sisters-in-law, Evelyn and Connie; and special friends, Joyce and Reba.
Earnestine was preceded in death by her husband; a great-grandson, Michael Dean Trimble; four brothers and two sisters.
