Ed "Terry" Plunkett, 78, of Carbon Cliff, passed away April 27, 2015, at his home surrounded by his family and friends. As he wished, his body will be cremated and family services will be private. Schroder Mortuary, Silvis, is assisting the family with arrangements. Ed was born Oct. 4, 1936, in Quincy, Ill., the son of Fremont and Lucille Walbring Plunkett. He served four years in the Navy during the Korean War. Ed married Joyce Sorensen on Jan. 5, 1996, in Carbon Cliff. He retired from John Deere Harvester after 30 years. Ed loved his motorcycle, spending time with his family and being outdoors. Survivors include his wife, Joyce; children, Trina (Kevin) Vroman, Silvis, and Rich (Vickie) Plunkett, Bettendorf; stepchildren, Phillip Plunkett, Cordova, Linda Michelle (Dwayne) Lermineau, Davenport, and James Alan (Trisha) Vroman, Gladstone, Mo.; grandchildren, Eric, Tyler (Niki), Kyle (Jara), Cody, Billy, Lisa, Parker and Hope; great-granddaughter, Sophia, and one on the way; siblings, Jo Ann Shook, Davenport, Sandi Cole, Galesburg, and Jay (Becky) Plunkett, Knoxville, Ill.; and several nieces and nephews. Ed was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Ted.
