Eloise Mackey

Eloise L. Mackey, 94, of Colona passed away June 7, 2017 at her home. Funeral services will be 1 lam Tuesday at Our Beautiful Savior Lutheran Church in Colona with visitation 1 hour prior to service time at the church. Burial will be 2:00pm at Oquawka Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the family. Schroder Mortuary in Colona is assisting the family with arrangements. Eloise was born Jan. 7, 1923 in Oquawka, IL the daughter of Willis and Alma Decker Goempler. She married Howard James Mackey Oct. 3, 1942 in St. Louis, MO. He passed away Jan. 24, 2009. Eloise was a homemaker and stay at home mother. She also helped raise her grandchildren and did work one year in Burlington, IA. She enjoyed traveling, playing cards and animals. Survivors include her daughters Norine (Larry) Schnowske of Cambridge, IL, Marlene Talbot of Davenport, Angie (John) Hathaway of Galva, Tony Talbot and Dyna (Russ) Nichols of Pensacola, FL; grandchildren Sean Venovich, Tawnya (Brian Aprati) Block, Bobbie Gravitt, Deena (Darren) Devinney, Travis (Deyonne) Schnowske, Troy Schnowske, Danyelle (Steve) Brown; great grandchildren Nick, Kayla, Haleigh, Brayden, Deonna, Dallas, Wade, Marissa, Ryder, Sierra, Weston, Shaniya, Lindsey and Derek. Eloise was preceded in death by her parents, husband and a granddaughter Amy.
