Erma Lee Knowles, 85, Moline, died Thursday, Oct. 20, 2011, at Rock Island Nursing and Rehab Center.
A memorial gathering will be 2-4 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 29, at Schroder Mortuary, Silvis. Burial will be in Plymouth, Ill. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association
She was born Oct. 18, 1926, in Plymouth, to Clarence Evans and Alta Greenleaf. She married James Franklin Knowles in Plymouth. He passed away Oct. 26, 1973.
She worked as a visiting nurse. She was involved in various church groups at Assembly of God Church in East Moline.
Survivors include her daughters, Marta Allen, Novinger, Mo., and Roseanna Knowles, Moline; son, Mark Knowles, Ankeny, Iowa; half-sister, Mary Richards, East Moline; grandchildren, Brett Petersen, Amanda Allen, Jessica Wingate, Bart Knowles, Kasey Braby, Karly and Barry Knowles; great-grandchildren, Skye and Hunter Petersen Knowles, Aaron Graham, Brayden and Gracen Davis. She was preceded in death by her husband; and a sister, Goldie.
