Forrest Ted Call, 93, of Oak Park, IL formerly of Carbon Cliff passed away March 30, 2019 at Belmont Village on Oak Park.
A memorial service will be 1pm Tuesday at Schroder Mortuary in Silvis with visitation 1 hour prior to service time. Burial will follow at Greenview Memorial Gardens in East Moline. Memorials may be made to American Heart Association.
Forrest was born September 13, 1925 in Carbon Cliff, IL the son of George and Bernice Gager Call. He served in the Army during WWII. Forrest worked as a mechanical designer for Shure Inc. Retiring in 2008. In his younger years he enjoyed his membership at the YMCA in Chicago, rock Climbing and photography. He was a self-taught pianist and loved animals.
Survivors include his siblings Wesley Call, Ernest Call, Lois (Floyd) Taulbee, Dale Call, and Shirley (Larry) Danielsen and several nieces and nephews.
Forrest was preceded in death by his parents; sisters Norma Cowdery, Vivian Grymonprez and Ina Pettit and a brother Jerry Call.
