Frances Busenbark

Frances L. "Frannie" Busenbark, 82, of Colona, passed away Thursday, Nov. 4, 2010, at Trinity Rock Island.
A Funeral Mass will be 10 a.m. Monday at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Colona. Visitation will be 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Schroder Mortuary in Colona, with a rosary at 6 p.m. Burial will be at St. Mary's Cemetery in East Moline. Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital.
Frannie was born Aug. 8, 1928, in Moline, the daughter of James and Margaret Willems Bogaert. She married James W. Busenbark on Nov. 21, 1946, in Colona.
Frannie was a lifetime member of PTA, Altar and Rosary Society of St. Patrick's and also sang in the choir. She was an avid Cubs fan and loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Survivors include her husband, James; children, Sharon (Doug) Brown, Des Moines, Iowa, Sandra Hall, Peoria, Ill., James M. (Christine) Cape, Coral, Fla., Barbara (Tim) Jones, Fulton; eight grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and siblings, Bernice Steward, Woodhull, Richard Bogaert, Colona, Carolyn Halsted, Briar Bluff, Diane Swemline, Colona. Frannie was preceded in death by her parents.
