Frances May Grant, 98, of Streator, formerly of East Moline, died Thursday, Nov. 11, 2010, at Heritage Manor in Streator.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at First Baptist Church in Silvis, where she was a member. Visitation is one hour prior to service time at the church. Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church in Silvis. Burial is at Roselawn Memorial Estates, Moline.
Frances was born July 5, 1912, in Farmington, Iowa, to Herman and Bertha Boyer Schmidt. She married Denzlow Grant on Sept. 14, 1935. in Mount Pleasant, Iowa. He passed away May 6, 1993.
Survivors include children Ruth Grant, of Streator, and Phillip (Patricia) Grant, of Mountain Home,Ark.; grandchildren Jonathan (Michelle), of Lombard, Ill., and Christopher (Laura), of Waterloo, Iowa; and great-grandchildren Stone, Lars, Halcyone and Jonas, all of Lombard, Olivia, Chloe, Scott and Christopher, all of Waterloo. She was preceded in death by her husband, a daughter, Joyce, brother Claude and Myrle Schmidt and a sister, Edna Williams.
