Fred D. Finch, 76, of Port Byron passed away June 6, 2019 at Genesis Medical Center Illini Campus in Silvis.
Funeral services will be 11am Tuesday at Bible Holiness Church in Carbon Cliff. Visitation will be 4-7pm Monday at Schroder Mortuary in Silvis. Burial will be at Greenview Memorial Gardens in East Moline. Memorials may be made to Bible Holiness Church.
Fred was born September 20, 1942 in New Boston, IL the son of Walter and Georgia Munson Finch. He married Ruth Glenn October 9, 1971 in Hampton. Fred retired from John Deere Foundry as a gardener. He enjoyed drawing, fishing, hunting, mowing the grass and being outdoors. He also loved animals, especially horses and dogs, and spending time with his family.
Survivors include his wife Ruth; children Pamela (Dale) Allensworth of Silvis, Vicki Cooney of Colona and Donna Hahn of Moline; grandchildren Hope Kay Allensworth, Kristina Jo (Darren) Finley, James Aaron Cooney, Kirstin Danielle Hahn, and Gabriella Anne Cooney; great grandchildren Austin Fields, Jacob Fields, Owen Fields, Wil Fields, William Finley, Audreyana Finley, and Alaina Finley; brothers Thomas J. (Sandy) Finch of Moline, Robert E. (Yolanda) Finch of Victorville, CA and David W. (Patricia Hess) Finch of Moline and numerous nieces and nephews.
Fred was preceded in death by his parents and brothers Charles, William, Carl Lee and Edward.
