George D. Duncan, 72, of Kewanee passed away April 17, 2016, at Hammond-Henry Hospital in Geneseo. Graveside services will be noon Friday at Moline Memorial Park Cemetery. Anyone wishing to join the family in procession may meet at Schroder Mortuary in Silvis at 11 a.m. George was born Aug. 13, 1943, in King County, Wash., the son of Frank and Helen Metcalf Duncan. He married Anna Louise Perry on Aug. 13, 1976, in Cheyenne, Wyo. George served in the Navy. He retired from Moline School District and later from the Kewanee YWMCA. He enjoyed woodworking and was an all-around handyman. He especially loved whittling. Survivors include his wife, Anna; daughters, Kathy (Dennis) Purvis, Wendy Edwards and Georgette (Kurt) Gravert; five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter; sister, Barb Sampson; and a brother, Donnie Phillips. George was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Janice Berryman; and a brother, Frank Duncan.
