George Griffin

George "GW" Griffin, 86, of Moline passed away November 9, 2016 at St. Anthony's Continuing Care Center in Rock Island.
Funeral services will be 2pm Saturday at Schroder Mortuary in Silvis with visitation 1 hour prior to service time. Burial will be at Greenview Memorial Gardens in East Moline. Memorials may be made to Quad City Animal Welfare Center.
GW was born May 8, 1930 in Moline, IL the son of Grant and Jeannie Kelly Griffin. He retired from International Harvester in 1980 after 30 years. He was a member of the UAW and the YMCA and enjoyed gardening and woodworking and was an avid Cubs fan.
Survivors include his children Dania (Fred) Hofmann of Andover and Daryl (Sherry) Griffin of Moline; grandchildren Dylan Reynolds, Derek Griffin and Devan Griffin and a special friend Marilyn Heaton of Kewanee.
GW was preceded in death by his parents, a son Mike Griffin and a brother Darrell
