George Donald Poelvoorde, 77, of East Moline, died May 26, 2012, at his home.
Services will be 1 p.m. Saturday at Schroder Mortuary, Silvis. Visitation will be two hours before the services on Saturday. Burial will be at Greenview Memorial Gardens, East Moline.
He was born Dec. 30, 1934, in East Moline, to Hector and Bernice Granet Poelvoorde. George served in the Navy. He married Louise Sheppard on July 19, 1986, in Silvis.
He worked for John Deere Harvester and Illini Hospital. He enjoyed fishing and old cars.
Survivors include his wife, Louise; daughters, Linda Williams, Brenda Wilson and Marjorie Lewis; sons, James and Donald Arnold; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; and brother, Hector Peolvoorde.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and two sisters, Pat and Joyce.
