Gertrude Kauzlarich

Gertrude Kauzlarich, 99, of Colona passed away June 23, 2024 at Hammond Henry Hospital Long Term Care in Geneseo. 

Funeral services will be 11am Saturday, June 29, 2024 at Schroder Mortuary in Silvis with visitation 1 hour prior to service time. Burial will be in Greenview Memorial Gardens, East Moline, Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Center. 

 Gertrude was born November 16, 1924 in Eddyville, IA the daughter of Arthur and Nita Blackwood VanKlaveren. She married Rudolph “Rudy” Kauzlarich October 20, 1973 in Nashua, IA. He passed away August 8, 2021. Gertrude was a homemaker and enjoyed cooking, gardening, canning, and playing bingo. 

 Survivors include her children Arnold “Butch” (Elzita) Kershaw, Sharon (Rod) Earl, and Joe (Linda) Kauzlarich; 12 grandchildren; 30 great grandchildren and 5 great great grandchildren. 

 Gertrude was preceded in death by her parents, husband Rudy, and 6 siblings.
