Helen Bloomer

Helen C. Bloomer, 92, of Silvis passed away peacefully at her home and rejoined her husband March 1, 2022.

Funeral services will be 10am Saturday at Schroder Mortuary, Silvis. Visitation will be 4-7pm Friday at the mortuary. Burial will be in Hampton Township Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the family.

Helen was born April 28, 1929 in Peoria, IL the daughter of G. Fred and Emma (Bankie) Bailey. She married Francis G. Bloomer January 13, 1948 in Palmyra, MO. He passed away August 14, 2017. Helen was a member of Edgewood Baptist Church in Rock Island. She was also a member of Modern Woodman and Royal Neighbors. She enjoyed babysitting, but most of all loved spending time with her children and grandchildren.

Survivors include her children Patricia Bloomer, Diana (Bryan) Stone, Donna (Dan) Glynn, and Christopher Bloomer; 7 grandchildren; several great grandchildren and a sister Betty Brasel.

Helen was preceded in death by her parents, husband, sons Michael and Richard Bloomer.
