Herbert Mullins Jr., 71, of Silvis, died Friday, March 30, 2012, at Trinity Rock Island. As he wished, cremation rites will be accorded, and there will be no services.
Herbert, son of Herbert and Ruth Moore Mullins Sr., was born Jan. 25, 1941, in Moline. He married Denise A. Karstens on Sept. 15, 1962, in Moline.
Herbert retired from the maintenance department at Deere & Co. headquarters.
He enjoyed fishing and walking his dog, Kiya.
Survivors include is wife of 50 years, Denise; daughter, Deborah (Terry) Mullins-Calloway, of Colona; Grandchildren, Casey and Tyler Calloway; great-granddaughter, Izabel Skye Calloway; sisters, Mary Finger Carlson, Arlene (Tom) Mullins Brown, and Nancy (George) Mullins Schaeffer; brother, Harvey Finger; sister-in-law, Dee Karstens; brother-in-law, Walter (Lorain) Karstens; and his beloved dog, Kiya.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and a sister, Marceline Finger Hundley.
