James Blair, 70, of Colona, passed away Wednesday, June 8, 2011, at his home surrounded by his family.
A memorial service will be noon Monday, June 13, at Dayton Corners Cemetery, Colona.
James was born June 13, 1940, in Moline, the son of Robert and Ruth Wise Blair. He married Anna Cooprider in 1968.
He was a truck driver/transportation for Eagle Food and IH. James enjoyed tinkering with cars, restoring vintage cars and, in his early years, was a member of a pit crew.
Survivors include his wife, Anna, Colona; son, Bobby (Jamie) McCullough; daughters, Vicki Blair, Coal Valley, Donna (Don) Winchester, Moline, Lori (Dusty) Mabie, Coal Valley, Cherie (Gary) Fulks, Geneseo, Linda Robertson, Manchester, Tenn., Gail Hastings (Lester Johnson), Geneseo, and Anna (Richard) Roselle, Colorado Springs; sister, Mary Louise Lee, Hillsdale; 13 grandchildren; and 23 great-grandchildren. James was preceded in death by his parents; grandson, Shane; sisters, Doris Griffith and Katherine Lund; and brother, Marlin.
