James Friend

James Allen Friend, 59, of Colona passed away May 29, 2022 at Genesis Medical Center Illini Campus.

A memorial visitation will be 5-7pm Tuesday at Schroder Mortuary, Colona. A celebration of life will be 2-6pm Sunday, June 12th at the Colona American Legion. Memorials may be made to the family.

James was born August 20, 1962 in Moline, IL the son of Larry and JoAnn Hagerman Friend. He worked at Bud’s Body Shop in Colona and enjoyed fishing, mushroom hunting, collecting arrowheads, riding his bike, and spending time with his friends and his cats.

Survivors include his son Dustin Friend; mother JoAnn Friend; siblings Rickie Friend, Carla Friend, Judy (Grant) Foreman, Chuck (Pam) Friend, Lynn (Mike) Bickle, and Lucinda (Blair) Ridenour.

James was preceded in death by his father.
