James Goodman

James "Jim" Eugene Goodman left us on April 24, 2015, with his family by his side at Trinity Rock Island. Jim was born June 10, 1950 in Moline, IL the son of "Buck" and Ida Goodman. He went to UTHS high school where he loved and played football. He met and married his high school sweetheart Patricia Ann Goodman who were married 44 wonderful years and had two children together, Renee Lynn Goodman and James Duke Goodman. Jim was a hardworking man with a strong work ethic and a dedicated husband and father. Jim was a straight shooter and said what was on his mind. He was employed by Bullock Garages for 3 years and was a painter at John Deere Plow Planter for 11 years. He later became a machinist at Howard Steel for 8 years where he retired. Jim was good with his hands and enjoyed building projects and enjoyed watching movies. He loved to joke around. Jim is survived by his loving wife, Patricia Goodman, his daughter Renee Goodman, his son and daughter in law Duke and Christine Goodman; two grandchildren Kaige and Keagan Goodman; two step grandchildren Cody and Autumn Wilson; a brother and his wife Joe and Marie Goodman and a sister and her husband June and Jim Rockhold. Jim was preceded in death by his two sisters Sissy Osborne and Janet Patterson. A celebration of life will be held in his honor at Schroder Mortuary in Silvis where family will receive friends and family on Thursday from 4-7pm.
