As the middle child, her siblings are Betty Plumb (wife of the late Lloyd "Chet"), Doris Seams (wife of the late Jerry), Patricia (Morry) Popelier and Larry (wife Pat). Married on May 18, 1962, to Ronald William Lampe, they spent the majority of their 54 years together in a rural neighborhood outside Geneseo, raising their five children: son Brad and wife Amy, Osceola, Iowa, and children Jake and wife Emily and their sons Jayden and Cameron, Joe and Mitch; son Jeff (deceased) and wife Denise, Highland, Ill., and children, Austin and wife Lindsey and their son Benson and Paige; daughter Donna and her daughter Beth Ann, Geneseo; daughter, Cindy and husband Brian Gorge, Colona, and their children Jacob and Caitlin; and son Guy and wife Kaersten, Danvers, Mass, and daughter Alexis. While raising her family, Janet also worked at John Deere, Empire Equipment and retired from White and Jones Law Office, Geneseo, after 27 years of service. Janet attended St. Patrick's Church in Colona her entire life. She was a successful gardener of both flowers and vegetables. She enjoyed cheering for the Chicago Cubs. With the house full of family at the holidays, she would watch them play games and carry on from her favorite spot in the kitchen. Preceded in death by her parents, Albert and Ann DeCapp, and her son, Jeff, they are peacefully reunited.
