Janet Patterson

Janet Lynn (Goodman) Patterson was born in Moline on June 27, 1957 to Joe I. and Ida M. (Cluney) Goodman. She spent her childhood years in Silvis where she graduated from United Township High School in East Moline. She married Randy Dean Patterson on August 23, 1986, moving her to Milan. Since marrying her husband, she has been a devoted housewife, mother, grandmother, and sister. In her spare time, she enjoyed cooking, sewing, and spending lots of time with her grandbabies. Family was important to her, so she spent as much time as she could with her family both residing in and out of the Quad Cities. She also enjoyed spending time with the family dog, Misty, who was her companion at home. Those left to honor her memory are her husband, Randy, Milan; son, Michael (Nicole) Patterson, Moline; grandsons, Michael Jr and Nicholas Patterson, Moline; brothers, Jim (Pat) Goodman, Milan, and Joe (Marie) Goodman, East Moline; sister, June (Jim) Rockhold, East Moline; brother - in - law, Rusty (Cheryl) Patterson, Conesville IA; sister - in - law, Darla (Terry) Young, Mulberry FL; lifelong friend, Evelyn Bonnichsen; and many more family members and lifelong friends. Janet was preceded in death by her parents, Joe and Ida Goodman; her sister, Janice Osborne; and her grandparents. Janet died on Sunday, May 11, 2014 at her home in Milan surrounded by her loving family. Janet's family invites everyone to attend a memorial visitation at Schroder Mortuary in Silvis on Monday, May 19, 2014 from 4 to 7pm. Per Janet's wishes, she will be cremated and return to her Milan home with her husband until further decisions are made by the family.
