Jaye Painter

Jaye H. “Bird” Painter, 63, of Colona passed away May 26, 2018 at his home.

Funeral services will be 11am Friday at Schroder Mortuary in Colona. Burial will follow at Dayton Corners Cemetery in Colona. A celebration of life will follow at Colona Scott Family Park. Memorials may be made to the family.

Jaye was born Dec. 31, 1954 in Moline, IL the son of Bud and Betty Painter. He married Victoria Crouse in Feb. of 2004 in Colona. Bird worked for Springfield Armory for 20 years. He enjoyed car shows, camping, yardwork, playing pool, going to the races and enjoyed a cold beer in the garage. He especially loved spending time with his grandchildren.

Survivors include his wife Vicki; children Andy (Erika) Painter, Dawn White, Steven (Erica) White and Jessie (Nikki) White; 8 grandchildren; siblings Gerald “Bo” Weisenborn, Carol (Jon) Brunner, Selma (Ron) Rowton, Darla Ericksen and Mick (Cindy) Painter.

Bird was preceded in death by his parents and a special friend Bunk White
