Jerry L. Bledsoe, 63, passed away November 25, 2013. He was born Oct 3, 1950 in Kingsport, Tennessee to Ewing "John" and Lorena Virginia Turner Bledsoe. He was preceded in death by his father. He is survived by his wife, Barbara; daughters Tiffany Bledsoe and Melanie (Jason) Quinn; mother and sister Frances Short of Milan, Illinois; two nephews and several great grand nieces; lots of special friends and neighbors. He married Barbara 42 years ago and had a very special loving relationship. Loved photography, bicycle riding, fishing, camping, traveling, visiting with family and friends and drinking at all the brewpubs along the way. Was proud to have ridden 3,200 miles in one year on his bike including the RAGBRI just months before being diagnosed with cancer. He outlived the prediction of just months by almost two years. He was an electrical engineer and worked for Motorola in Phoenix, Honeywell in Colorado Springs and Burr-Brown/Texas Instruments in Tucson, Arizona, retiring in 2005. Visitation will be at Schroder Mortuary 701 1st Ave Silvis, Illinois Thursday Dec 5, 2013 from 4 to 7 pm. Funeral will be 10:00 am Friday Dec 6, 2013 at Schroder Mortuary, Silvis. Luncheon will be at the Silvis United Methodist Church after burial at Rock Island Memorial Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers make donations to your favorite charity.
