Jerry L. Parsons

Jerry L. Parsons, 76, of East Moline passed away July 23, 2023 at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City.

Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Thursday, July 27, 2023 at Schroder Mortuary in Silvis. Visitation will be 2 hours prior to service time. Burial will be in Hampton Township Cemetery.

Jerry was born November 13, 1946 in Sycamore, IL the son of Virgil and Idalene (McConn) Parsons. He served in the Navy during Vietnam. Jerry worked at John Deere Harvester, retiring after 30 years. He loved baseball and bowling and was a member of AA for over 30 years.

Survivors include his sisters Kathleen (Dan) Pysson of Andover and Twila VanDyke of Silvis; nieces and nephews Chad (Amanda) Pysson, Mindy Pysson, Nina (Chad Bloomfield) Pysson, Tonya Weatherington, Ginger (Bill) Anderson, and Gary Weatherington Jr. and many great nieces and nephews.

Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, sister Ondrea Parsons, and brother Ronald Parsons.
